The ninth annual international conference on coal gasification, liquefaction and conversion to electricity was held August 3-5, 1982. It was sponsored by the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the Department of Energy, Pittsburgh Energy Technology Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Twenty-seven papers from the proceedings have been entered individually into EDB and ERA; two were also entered into EAPA.
