Return to Russian/Soviet Patent Table of Contents A Method To Produce Aliphatic Hydrocarbons
Abstract A method is suggested to produce aliphatic hydrocarbons by reacting carbon monoxide with hydrogen at 240-260°C, and pressure of 10 atm in the presence of an iron-based catalyst. In order to increase the yield of the target product, the process is carried out in the presence of 0.5-4.0 vol.% oxygen. Introduction of oxygen into the feed synthesis gas allows intentional production of olefin mixture containing 80-82% of perfect α-olefins and paraffin hydrocarbons consisting of perfect paraffin by 80-86.8%. |
