Abstract
A catalyst is suggested for the synthesis of hydrocarbons from carbon monoxide and hydrogen, containing cobalt, magnesium oxide and a zirconium compound supported on kieselguhr. In order to improve the catalyst activity and selectivity, zirconium silicate is used as the zirconium compound. The catalyst composition is as follows:
Cobalt 31-32
Magnesium oxide 2.0-3.0
Zirconium silicate 2.0-3.0
Kieselguhr the rest
