A method to prepare catalysts for the production of liquid hydrocarbons
A method is suggested to prepare catalysts for the production of liquid hydrocarbons by the reaction of hydropolymerization of gaseous olefins in the presence of hydrogen and carbon monoxide. The catalyst is prepared by supporting a cobalt salt on a support, followed by catalyst reduction in hydrogen flow. To produce highly active catalyst, a hydrate of alumina is taken as the support. After cobalt has been supported, hydroxide or carbonate of an alkali or earth metal is added.
