Return to Russian/Soviet Patent Table of Contents A Reactor For The Synthesis Of Hydrocarbons From Carbon Monoxide And Hydrogen
Abstract A reactor is suggested for the synthesis of hydrocarbons from a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen, consisting of a cylinder body with a fine grid mounted at the bottom part of the cylinder to support a powder catalyst and to enable the uniform gas flows throughout the reactor. Temperature inside the reactor is controlled by means of an interior heat exchanger consisting of two cylinders connected by a bunch of curved tubes. To the top of the heat exchanger, a cyclone collector is installed in order to entrap the catalyst particles carried over with the outlet gases and to return them back to the bottom part of the reactor through a vertical tube. |
