Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain >= 5 C hydrocarbons useful as gasoline, chemical raw material, etc., by bringing a synthesis gas into contact with a catalyst containing a solid solution of iron-potassium oxide and crystalline aluminosilicate.

CONSTITUTION: (A) A synthesis gas is brought into contact with (B) a catalyst containing (i) a solid solution of iron-potassium oxide and (ii) crystalline aluminosilicate to give hydrocarbons. An amount of the component i in the component B prepared is 1-99 wt%, preferably 1-80 wt%. A molar ratio of hydrogen to carbon monoxide in the synthesis gas is preferably 1-5. The contact reaction is carried out at 150-500oC, preferably at 250-400oC at 1-150 kg/cm2, preferably at 10-20 kg/cm2 and at 100-10,000/hr GHSV.
