ABSTRACT:

A literature search of precipitated iron/copper/potassium catalyst has been completed. A catalyst precipitation unit has been assembled and tested. A pure precipitated iron catalyst has been synthesized and its BET surface area and temperature-programmed reduction (TPR) behavior have been determined. All equipment supplied by APCI has been made operational. The design of two new reactor systems (slurry and fixed bed) has been completed, and some of the equipment and parts necessary for their construction have arrived. Progress has been made in the areas of chromatograph calibrations and data reduction software. 24 refs., 6 figs., 8 tabs. (ERA citation 12:036582)
