ABSTRACT:

It is recommended that Fluor engage an Aerial Photographing and Mapping consultant to photograph and provide contour maps for the proposed site.  The work shall include, but not be limited to, the following activities: (1) ground control surveys necessary to produce maps of such accuracy as specified; (2) aerial stereo photography and photo index map as necessary to produce the required contour maps; (3) contour maps of the site as defined in the contract (i.e. 1 inch = 40 feet scale with 2 foot contour interval, and oriented to Plant North); (4) photomosaic of the entire site and adjacent land; (5) digitalized data for direct input to Fluor's computer program to compute cut and fill earth quantities. It is recommended that Fluor solicit proposals from a minimum of four consultants. Based upon a technical and commercial evaluation of proposals Fluor would write a unit price/lump sum price contract for professional services with a guaranteed maximum clause. Volume 9B includes the maps obtained by the subcontract. (ERA citation 08:019506)
