COUNTRY: United States SOURCE: Department of Energy [DE], 1988, 35p. NTIS ORDER NO.: DE88013080/INW ABSTRACT: In this quarter the 20cm diameter laboratory bubble column has been constructed and tested with air-water operation. Theory has been developed based on experimental measurement of bubble shapes to predict bubble size distribution from probe measurements. In addition, an experimental technique for acquiring a global force balance on a bubble column has been used and data from this work are currently being processed. Numerical simulation of two phase systems has commenced. 12 refs., 16 figs. (ERA citation 13:044848) REPORT NUMBER: DOE/PC/79935-4 CONTRACT NUMBER: FG22-87PC79935 |
