ABSTRACT:

Non-isothermal rate oscillations in Fischer-Tropsch (F-T) synthesis over iron catalysts can be qualitatively modelled by accounting for changes in the oxidation state of the catalyst. The model suggests that sustained high conversions in single-pass reactors will be difficult to attain.
