TITLE: Investigation of Sulfur-Tolerant Catalysts for Selective Synthesis of Hydrocarbon Liquids from Coal-Derived Gases. Quarterly Technical Progress Report, March 19-June 18, 1980. AUTHOR: C. H. ABSTRACT: A 15% Fe-3% K sub 2 O on SiO sub 2 catalyst, a 15% Co-3% K sub 2 O on SiO catalyst and a 15% CoB/SiO sub 2 catalyst were prepared. H sub 2 and CO chemisorption uptakes were measured for the catalysts prepared to date. It was noted that calcining the iron catalysts in air before reduction in flowing H sub 2 aided in increasing metal dispersion. Liquid and wax traps for use in the reactor system were completed as were plans for chromatographic product analysis. (ERA citation 05:037476) CONTRACT NUMBER: AC01-79ET14809 |
