Practically all of the information given to us by Koelbel and Ackerman was summarized in a paper entitled “Hydrogenation of Carbon Monoxide in a Liquid Medium” by H. Koelbel and P. Ackerman. This paper has not been published (except for preprints) but copies of it had been made available to us in 1949 by the Koppers Company and by Dr. Hoog of the Royal Dutch Shell. This latter copy was translated by Dr. Sternberg of Louisiana and bears the translation number, K-10.
