MeOH catalyst is prepared by combining 4,500 gm. ZnO, 7,200 gm. Cr(NO₂)₃ 9 H₂O, 4,300 gm. Fe(NO₃)₃ 9 H₂O and 450-820 gm. ZnCl₃ in aqueous mixture and converting the nitrates to oxides.
