3801. VASALLI, F., AND FIORELLO, F. [Synthesis Gas From the Residues of the Pyrogenic Decomposition of Mineral Oils.]  Italian Patent 373,346, May 10, 1939.  Chem. Zentralb., 1940, II, p. 1678.

Residues are distilled at 800°-1,000°.  The gas thus obtained is converted at 1,000°-1,100°, yielding a gas with high CO and H₂ content.  Water gas made from the coke residue of the distillation is added thereto.
