PATENT 3775. UNDERWOOD, A. J. V. Production of Hydrocarbons. British Patent 516,555, July 21, 1938. Chem. Zentralb., 1941, I, p. 2894; British Chem. Abs., 1940, B, p. 189. Coal, coke, or other carbonaceous material is gasified under pressure with steam, the products of gasification, chiefly CO and H2, are passed through a H2O cooled synthesis chamber, and low-pressure steam produced by heating of the cooling H2O and/or contained in the products of the synthesis reactions is then converted by means of an injector thermocompressor into high-pressure steam, which is used for the gasification of further fuel. |
