The CO produced is purified with the aid of Al2O3 charcoal. and Fe. The required H2 is produced by the action of ZnO on a part of the liquid hydrocarbon obtained from heating the coal then by the action of H2O on Zn obtained in the preceding Step. See abs. 431. |
