PATENT 3384. ----- [SOCIÉTÉ CHIMIQUE DE LA GRANDE PAROISSE, AZOTE ET PRODUITS CHIMIQUES.] Artificial Zeolitic Catalysts. British Patent 343,807, Feb. 7, 1930. Chem. Abs., vol. 25, 1931, p. 4672. Catalysts suitable for the production of O-containing aliphatic compounds from CO and H2O or steam are prepared by the union of salts of strongly alkaline nature with metallates (salts of amphoteric metals) with or without addition of neutral or substantially neutral salts. The catalysts contain at least 1 element of the 2 groups: (a) K, Na, Li, V, Cr, Mo, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Ag, Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb, Sb, Bi, Ca, Sr, Ba; and (b) Be, Mg, Al, Ce, rare earths, B, Si, Ti, Zr, Th, Y and W; and the precipitation of the zeolite is carried out in a medium of pH between 8 and 6.8. Describes various details and examples of procedure. |
