PATENT 3322. SELDEN Co. [Synthesis of Ammonia.] French Patent 670,396, feb. 27, 1929. Chem. Abs., vol. 24, 1930, p. 1941. Catalysts for the synthesis of Nh3 are composed of 2-component or multi-component zeolites or nonsiliceous base-exchanging compounds associated with catalytically active components, either chemically combined or mixed. Carriers may be used for the base-exchange compounds. Stabilizers and stabilization promoters may be used. Fe compounds are preferred ingredient of the contact masses. The catalyst is preferably pretreated with NH3, H2, or N2. Gives examples. See abs. 1743, 1744, 1745, 1746, 1747, 1748, 1749, 1750, 1751, 1752, 1753, 1754, 1755, 1756, 1757, 1758. |
