Abs., vol. 38, 1944, p. 1096. Hydrocarbon gas or gases containing hydrocarbons is mixed at least with 25% by volume of steam. The mixture is preheated by the hot gases from the slagging generator to approximately 700°, mixed with O2, and blown into the generator.
