3137. ----- [RUHRCHEMIE, A.G.] [Process for Regenerating Catalysts for the Gasoline Synthesis.] German Patent Appl. R 101,215 R 373, filed Jan.6, 1938 (Cl. iv d-12 o).  PB Report 412, May 15, 1945; TOM Reel 37, bag 3,451, item 35, 2pp.; Meyer Transl. PC-S-II, Fischer-Tropsch Process, vol. 4, chap. 130, 1949, p. 13.

Catalysts that have been used for the synthesis of gasoline from CO-H2 are regenerated by dissolving in acids and by precipitating effective metals at >300° with flowing inert gases, particularly steam.  As a further development of the process of the previous German Patent Appl. R 97,521 (abs.3176), the steam is passed at a rate of at least l m. per sec. Through thick layers of relatively small transverse diameter.
