In an improved method for obtaining pure gasol from mixtures containing it, such as the end gases of gasoline synthesis, a CO₂-free product is obtained by first treating the gas mixture with a washing agent for the CO₂ such as solutions of alkylolamines or of alkali carbonates and then completing the gasol extraction in the usual manner by a 2-stage pressure condensation.
