PATENTS 3036. ----- [RUHRCHEMIE, A. G.] [Process for Obtaining Carboxylic Acids or Their Derivatives From Alkaline Liquor Concentrates.] German Patent Appl. --, R 681, filed July 15,1943. FIAT Reel K-30, frames 7,925-7,926; PB 73,587; TOM Reel 37, bag 3,451, item 36; Meyer Transl. PC-S-II, Fischer-Tropsch, Vol. 5, chap. 146, 1949, p. 8. In the further improvement of the methods of the previous patents for removing the H2O and the unsaponifiable matter from the soap concentrates, it has now been recognized that the H2O content of crude soap stock is brought to the desired amount (about 18% for satisfactory milling) if the H2O to oil ratio therein is maintained at about 5:2 up to 2:1, or preferably about 3:1. The requisite amount of oil to maintain the desired H2O to oil ratio is best supplied by continuous recycling rather than by single application. Addition to German Patent Appl. R 115,996 (abs. 3083) |
