In the further improvement of the methods of the previous patents for removing the H₂O and the unsaponifiable matter from the soap concentrates, it has now been recognized that the H₂O content of crude soap stock is brought to the desired amount (about 18% for satisfactory milling) if the H₂O to oil ratio therein is maintained at about 5:2 up to 2:1, or preferably about 3:1. The requisite amount of oil to maintain the desired H₂O to oil ratio is best supplied by continuous recycling rather than by single application. Addition to German Patent Appl. R 115,996 (abs. 3083)
