2983. -----.[RUHRCHEMIE, A.G.] Motor Fuel.  British Patent 354,215, Nov. 3, 1931; appl. filed Jan. 26, 1930.  Chem. Abs., vol. 26, 1932, p. 3904.

Solid fuels are converted into water gas and this into CH4-containing gases and benzine hydrocarbons by known processes; the CH4-containing gases are converted into illuminating gas and aromatic hydrocarbons by heating 1 time or repeatedly for a short period to above 1,000°. An antiknock motor fuel is obtained by mixing the benzine hydrocarbons with the subsequently formed aromatic hydrocarbons.
