In the process of British Patent 470,534 (abs. 2955), the condensation catalyst that has become spent after use in a series of condensation reactions at increasing temperatures is regenerated by adding small quantities series of similar condensations in which the  reaction temperature is raised from condensation to condensation, the initial temperature being the low conversion spent catalyst can be further utilized by employment in the conversion of cracked products of different composition and of increasing olefin content.
