Co catalysts for the hydrocarbon synthesis from CO and H₂ are made by precipitation from solution of Co salts on MgCO₃as support. The used catalysts are regenerated by dissolving the Mg as Mg bicarbonate with II₂() and CO₂separation of the Co compounds, and renewed precipitation as basic carbonate.
