Nonsintered Fe₃O₄obtained by any of the known methods is used for purifying gas. The mass is revivified by heating at 600°-1000° in a neutral atmosphere and is granulated by mixing 3 pt. revivified Fe₃O₄ with 1 pt. H₂O.
