2795. ----- [ROELEN, O.]   [Molding of Mixtures of Solid and Liquid Matter Into Filaments.]  German Patent Appl. – filed Sept. 17, 1938; APC 230,512.

Molding a solid-liquid paste, for example, a precipitate suspended in H2O to form thin filaments or threads; catalyst-carrier systems may be treated in this way.  Catalysts for synthetic production of gasoline from CO and H2 are prepared by precipitation of metal salt solutions.  By filtration, the solid residue of such solutions still retains 70-80% H2O, but can be extruded into thin filaments 1-3 mm. in diameter.
