2718. PRUDHOMME, E. A. Catalytic Production of Liquid Fuels From Water Gas. British Patent 238,931, May 23, 1924. Chem. Abs., vol. 20, 1926, p. 2063.

In producing a liquid fuel generally suitable for the same uses as gasoline, water gas or Dowson gas is mixed with a gas rich in hydrocarbons, especially those of the C2H2 series, and the mixture is passed first over a hydrogenation catalyst, then over a dehydrogenation catalyst, and finally over catalysts to effect polymerization of the C2H2 hydrocarbons. Numerous details specified.
