2602. ------. [PATART, G.] [Heating of Catalysts for Pressure-Synthesis of Gas Mixtures.] French Patent 618,439, July 2, 1926. British Chem. Abs., 1928, p. 886.

To secure uniform temperature the catalyst is mixed with a conducting material and heated electrically; for example, for NH3 synthesis silica, asbestos, magnesia, or alumina is added to the Fe catalyst; for alcohols and acids from CO and H2, Cu, Ag, Al, coal, coke, or graphite is added to the ZnO-Cr2O3 catalyst.
