2055. LINCKH, E., AND WINKLER, F. (W. E. Currie). Hydrocarbons From Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen. United States Patent 2,248,099, July 8, 1941; appl. filed May 29, 1937, Serial No. 145,580; in Germany, July 1, 1936; 3 claims (Cl. 260-449). Chem. Abs. vol. 35, 1941, p. 6768.

In the production of hydrocarbons containing more than 1 C atom in the molecule, a temperature of 150°-500° and a pressure of 5-500 atm. is employed and the H2 and CO are used with an accompanying gas containing essentially CO2 (the gas mixture containing at least 4 parts by vol. of CO to each 6 parts H2 and 20-90% of the accompanying gas) and at least part of the unconverted gas is recycled together with at least part of the accompanying gas to the reaction space.
