Catalyst should have the following particle sizes: Below 25% O-20μ, 30-85% 20-80μ, and below 45% above 80μ. The gas velocity in the catalyst should be 6-300 or better 6-45 cm. per sec. Co and Fe catalysts with usual promoters are used.
