Hydroxides or carbonates of Fe and Cu are precipitated from solution on kieselguhr by means of alkali (K2CO3) and then converted simultaneously or separately with a small amount of alkali (KOH) and boric acid or its salts. It can previously be activated with Mn or Al2O3. The catalyst can be reduced at synthesis temperature (225°-250°) and produces high yields of gasoline of over 120 cc. per m.3 of synthesis gas. |
