C entrained in the synthesis gas may be wetted and washed out by means of H2O formed in the C oxide-H2 synthesis reaction and condensed from the effluents of the reactor. In the process, the synthesis gas, before its passage into the reactor, is passed countercurrently, in scrubbing relationship, through a descending stream of the condensed aqueous solution of oxygenated hydrocarbons formed during the synthesis. 7 Unites States patents and 1 literature ref. cited. |
