Oil b. partly above 200º C. and rich in H such as Kogasin, is mixed with an
oil of lower H content such as tar middle oil, and the mixture hydrogenated over
a catalyst above 400º C and 350 atm. Sulfides of the 6th group
metals are preferred as catalysts.
