PATENTS 1701. 1701. ------. [INTERNATIONAL HYDROCARBON SYNTHESIS CO.] Regeneration of Catalysts for the Hydrogenation of Carbon Monoxide. British Patent 533,459, Feb. 13, 1941. Chem. Abs., vol. 36. 1942, p. 1168. After a treatment with solvents, the catalyst is treated with H2 at 400°-450° for such a period of time until the catalyst has again attained the activity of a fresh prepared catalyst. This time is generally 2-4 hr. A velocity of 1,000 m.3 of cross section of the passageway is particularly advantageous. Temperature is preferably increased gradually. |
