Describes method for working up the mixtures obtained by the saponification of the sulfochlorinated products of Fischer-Tropsch hydrocarbons b. 230º-320º and the separation of the sulfonates from the unsaponified and other impurities. A recovery of 98% of the crude sulfonates as a pure product is reported.
