Cracking of higher boiling hydrocarbons to highgrade gasolines is accomplished in the presence of paraffin-base petroleums or fractions thereof in the vapor phase over catalysts composed of natural or artificial silicates. Through the mutual cracking of the hydrocarbon oils, the formation of gaseous cracked products are reduced and high antiknock gasolines obtained.
