            In the process for producing gasoline by cracking hydrocarbons and alkylating isobutene, petroleum oils and CO reduction products are cracked separately.  The isobutene separated from the cracking gases from the petroleum products is alkylized with the olefinic cracking products from the CO reduction products.  The cracked gasoline and the alkylation gasoline are mixed.  Only so much olefinic cracked products are made from the CO reduction products as are necessary for the alkylation of the isobutene obtained from the petroleum.  Gasolines of high octane no. are obtained.
