PATENTS 1459. ------. [I. G. FARBENINDUSTRIE, A. G.] [Process for the Conversion of Carbon Monoxide With Hydrogen.] German Patent Appl. I 70,050. filed July 11, 1941: OZ 12,887 (Cl. IV d-12 o). FIAT Reel 165, frames 4,603-4,608: PB 66,902. In a process for producing branched hydrocarbons from CO and H2 by the use of catalysts having carriers of active silicates, the highest yields are obtained when the total pore-volume of the carrier consists of at least 30%, preferably 60-85%, of pores having diameters < 2 millimicrons, or at least 15%, preferably 30-60%, of < 1 millimicron diameter. Describes preparation of the catalyst. |
