In an improvement of the process of the main German Patent Appl. I 62,611 for the production of antiknock gasoline from the gasolines produced from gas mixtures containing CO and H₂ with Fe catalysts by passing them in vapor state over alumina or magnesia or Zn oxide or Al phosphate at temperatures 300º-400º, the temperatures are raised 400º-450º, suitably up to 440º. Similar results are obtained as in the main patent.
