            Products are obtained by the method of a gas mixture of CO and H₂ being used in the proportions suitable for forming MeOH.  The gas mixture is passed at 450º-500º through a tube of Mn bronze containing an Fe-free contact agent consisting of (NH₄)₂Cr₂O₂, ZnO and K₂CO₃.  Addition to German Patent 553,785 (abs. 1946).
