[Simultaneous Production of Liquid Hydrocarbons and Oxygenated Compounds From Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen.] French Patent 962,948, June 23, 1950; appl. filed Mar. 8, 1948, in United States May 24, 1947. Chem. Zentralb., 1950, II, p. 2270. Finely powdered, fluidized Fe catalyst is used at a H2 pressure of at least 7 atm. and a CO2 partial pressure of at least 8.8 atm. A red Fe oxide, which has been activated with 0.5-1.0% K2CO3, is used as catalyst. The reaction temperature is 343º. The yield of C4-hydrocarbons amounts to 149-168 cc. per m.3 CO+H2, and oxygenated products 39-43 cc. |
