Synthesis is carried out under pressures of 10.5-105 atm. and at temperatures 370º-425º, preferably 370º-400º. The fluidized Fe catalyst contains 0.1-1.5 wt. % of K₂O reckoned on the Fe₂O₃. The ratio of CO : H₂ = 1.9 : 0.7 at a throughput of synthesis gas of 1.24-3.12 l. per kg. of catalyst per hr. The Fe catalyst has the following composition, in parts by weight : Fe, 67.1 : O₂ (combined with the Fe), 26.1 : Al₂O₃, 2.57: SiO₂, 1.37; MnO, 0.85; K₂O, 0.90; MgO, 0.11; CuO, 0.10; NiO, 0.05; particle size 0-20μ 20%, 20-40μ 17%, 40-80μ27%, and more than 80μ 36%; conversion of CO 92.5-95.2%. The products consist of 6.1% C₁-, 8.4% C₂-, 95.2%. The products consist of 6.1% C₁-, 8.4% C₂-, 11.1% C₃-, 65.4% C₄-hydrocarbons, and 9.0% oxygenated compounds. The C₄-fraction consists of 25% C₄-, 63% C₅-hydrocarbonsm with a boiling point up to 204º and 12% above 204º. The octane No. is 75.7.
