Properties of gas oils for use as motor fuels are improved by mixing with oils poorer in H, the predominant nature of which is unsaturated or aromatic, with a H content below 12%, particularly of about 7-9%. The added oils may be those obtained by hydrogenating coal or extraction products from coal under pressure, with or without catalysts.
