Flowsheet is presented for the extraction fractionation of organic compounds. Extractive crystalline with urea has been found suitable for large-scale separations. Urea forms crystalline complexes with organic compounds of straight-chain structure. Thiourea is useful in forming complexes with organic compounds having a branched configuration or cycloaliphatic structure. An extensive list of compounds that can be thus treated is presented.
