Filed Nov. 6, 1937. Chem. Abs., vol. 33, 1939. p. 7814. In the synthesis of these from CO and H2, the catalyst is submerged in a liquid that boils completely within the permissible range of reaction temperatures under the pressure employed or partly within this range and for the rest above it.
