Solution of Al, Mn, and Cr nitrates is treated with K₂CO₃, the precipitate boiled, washed, heated to 450°, suspended in a solution of K₂CO₃, the product treated with a solution of Ni (NO₃)₂, and the precipitate formed again, boiled, washed, dried, and reduced at 180°-200°.
