Kohle, vol. 39, 1943, Sch. 193. Paraffin obtained as a product of the Fischer-Tropsch process is dissolved in chlorinated hydrocarbons, and the various fractions are separated by cooling. From one of these fractions, a hard paraffin fraction, a fraction m. p. 55º-65º is separated and worked up into a vaselinelike product. A soft paraffin fraction is also obtained m. p. 40º-60º.
