Mixture of NH₃ 15.6, H₂ 52.4, CO 25.6, and N₂ 2.5 mol. % and CO₂ CH₄, and O₂, passed over a catalyst containing Co 100, ThO₂ 18, and kieselguhr, 100 parts at a space velocity of 70-140 vol. Per vol. Catalyst per hr., 150 p. s. i. g., and 182º-221º formed a mixture of primary aliphatic amines containing 1-12 C atoms. Describes apparatus.
