Oxidation products which are obtained by oxidation in the liquid phase with O₂ or gases containing it of the hydrocarbon fractions b. 200º-350º and produced by the conversion of CO or CO₂ with H₂, are catalitically hydrogenated under pressure in such a way that the product possesses virtually no acid number but still contains some O₂.
